How could one view Sony’s latest announced and possibly worst kept secret game that has a very unneeded long name. Sony giving Super Smash Bros fans something to do until the Wii U/3DS games come out or are they trying to cash in on the SSB series?

Either way, on the PS blog this week it has been announced that (A complete SBB clone/rip off) fighting game is in the works and has many characters in it like Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Parappa, Fat Princess, Colonel Radec, and Sly Cooper and among others. And from what has been said in the trailer, this game might even have a splash of Final fantasy Dissidia to it as far as the story goes as your going against Hades’s minions.

The light-hearted multiplayer fighting game features a whos-who roster of famous Sony characters battling it out on levels from all over the PlayStation Universe and will include a line-up of special characters from some of the game industry’s top third party developers and publishers.

Kratos fans rejoice as the god slayer will soon be returning to the PS3! A PlayStation facebook post recently confirmed the 4th god of war game and from the looks of the trailer that is out the game is most likely a prequel.

The official PlayStation product page for God of War: Ascension video game now uses the tagline “Before he was a God, he was a man” and has a Spring 2013 release date attached to it. Hopefully no problems appear so it comes out near that time.

For awhile now Nintendo has been teasing a new 2D mario game which has lead many to believe to be Super Mario Bros. 4. However at this week’s Nintendo Direct it has been revealed as New Super Mario Bros. 2 which is due out for retails stores on August 2012 for both North America and Japan.

Some screen shots have been shown (See forum for pics) and has been revealed on Nintendo’s facebook that Mario’s green clothed brother Luigi will be in the game as well. Other things like The Power Leaf, and Raccoon Mario, are returning to the game.

On this weekend’s Nintendo Direct, which is a news conference which Nintendo drops word on a few projects has announced Kirby Anthology.

Kirby Anthology will be a Wii game disc full of fan favorite Kirby games in honor of the Kirby series 20th anniversary. Nintendo announced that it will come out sometime this year for japan at least and hopefully will have outside region release.

No further details were given for this tease of announcement.

One of the most addictive games in this date and age is definitely Plants Vs Zombies. The game starts off easy, getting more difficult after each level passed. It’s not a game that bores you after playing for several hours. You may play the game for hours without sleep if you try the trail version of the game and maybe even go out and purchase the full version for PC to continue the fun.

As you go deeper in the gameplay, you unlock new plants and see different zombies. The trail version of the game limits you to certain plants/zombies although the gameplay is enough to get you wanting more. There are fun mini-games that can keep you occupied after completing the storyline and if that’s not enough, there’s always puzzle and survival.
The storyline mode might take 1-2 days to complete if you play the game non-stop and the survival mode will reveal how good you’re at in the game. To tell you the truth, I’ve played the survival game and reached 12 flags (around the number) although the desktop I played the game on was laggy.

I’ll rate Plants Vs Zombies a 9.7/10. The game is awesome, gets you hooked as soon as you pass the first level, the graphics are excellent and the music is relaxing. You may wonder why I have not given the game a total 10 and the reason is because.. I want more levels.

Left4Dead is one of the best zombie shooting games in the world. You begin the game as one of the characters in your team that supports you through the gameplay. There are different types of weapons which you can select from at the start and during the gameplay to assist you while fighting off the horde of zombies to reach your destination, the safe room.

While playing the game, the graphics were decent and you don’t need a high specs computer to play it (if you’re using a PC, of course). One thing that I disliked about the gameplay is how the zombies rushes up to you and attacks you. I preferred Call of Duty Black Ops zombie gameplay to Left4Dead’s own, although L4D’s gameplay isn’t bad.

On the toughest mode, the last stages are really difficult. A witch can end your game if you make a wrong turn or if you’re low on ammo when facing a Tank, pray that it targets your teammates instead of you. I’m not a big gamer myself, so things might be different in your shoes.

Overall, I rate the game a 7/10. The gameplay gets boring after playing the game alot since the zombies do the same thing over and over again. There are a few unique zombies such as a smoker, the witch and a Tank but the bulk are regular old zombies.

The day when I picked up a N64 controller and herd about the gamecube, I thought the days of the super nintendo were done and gone. Lost in great memories and good times but it appears there will be a blast from the past.

Development, publishing, and production company Super Fighter Team are calling Nightmare Busters a “masterful run and gun game for the Super Nintendo, Super Famicom and all compatible video game systems.” The last new SNES game released in the United States was a Frogger remake in 1998, almost 14 years ago.

Don’t know about you, but I’m getting sick of all these recent PSN maintenances of late. On March 1st 2012, the PSN will go offline for maintenance which is expected to last from 11am ET until 2am ET the next day.

Sony has said that everything will be offline including the store, being able to login and playing online games.

At this rate, the PSN will shut down with people sick of the maintenance. Head by the GF forums to kill the time until the maintenance is completed.

Sales of the Playstation vita in japan has been lagging and has given rise to rumors about developers jumping ship for the 3DS which is cheaper to buy and no doubt easier to make games for. But thanks to the vita selling in North America, Europe and other PAL regions the vita is now pushing over a million sales worldwide.

But with the 3DS at 15 million sales worldwide, Sony and it’s vita have a long way to go to beating their rival.
